In December 2023, floodwaters in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu, caused extensive damage that uprooted families, destroyed homes, and disrupted livelihoods. Within days, the Active Bengaluru Foundation mobilised relief from across Bengaluru and drove it to Tuticorin.
What we delivered
- 2,500 litres of drinking water
- 4,000 biscuit packets
- 420 litres of milk
- 650 kg of rice
- 120 litres of oil
- 500 pairs of clothes
- Blankets, ration kits, and medical supplies
Who delivered
ABF volunteers Tauseef Ahmed, Mohammed Saif, Sameer Barde, and Mohammed Mehraj drove the relief in and distributed it on the ground.

Our goal was to reach those places that might have been overlooked. We wanted to make a direct impact.
