Mission NoDropOut

Mission NoDropOut is ABF’s response to one of Karnataka’s quietest crises — students who fail the SSLC exam and silently disappear from the education system.

What we do

For the four-week window between SSLC results and the supplementary exam, ABF runs free preparatory classes across 23 coaching centres in Bengaluru, focused on the high-fail subjects: Kannada, science, and mathematics.

In April–May 2025, around 1,000 students participated. The pass rate was 63.4% — more than double the state average for SSLC-2 candidates.

Baazigar Awards — Haar Kar Jeetne Wale Ko

In June 2025, ABF hosted the Baazigar Awards to honour the SSLC students who passed after attending our coaching. They received:

• A career counselling session with renowned expert Ameen-e-Mudassar
• Spot admissions to paramedical and polytechnic colleges
• Mementos celebrating their grit

For many of these students, this was the first time anyone in their lives had publicly celebrated their academic achievement.

Why this matters

A child who passes the supplementary exam is a child who didn’t drop out. Multiply that by a thousand families a year, and you start moving the dial on intergenerational poverty in Bengaluru’s most vulnerable communities.
